Boxed Cake Mix Extender

For some reason everyone seems to love confetti cake, but while making the Race Car on Track birthday cake I ran into the issue of not having enough batter for 2 full 8"x8" layers. After some quick searching on Google, I found a Cake Extender recipe that I must say worked PERFECTLY! Not only did I have enough batter, but it actually made the boxed cake taste and texture 1000x better!
The extender recipe is really simple...
1 egg
1 c flour
1 c sugar
1 c yogurt (I used nonfat) or sour cream
1/3 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
